The Order of Eastern Star, Matanuska Chapter 14, of Palmer. Alaska, accepted RAVEN Respite, a project under Alaska Attachment and Bonding Associates of Wasilla, Alaska, as their 2007 charitable project. RAVEN's  mission and goal is to help parents of adopted, foster and kinship children that  have been diagnosed with Attachment Disorders.

RAVEN sincerely thanks Eastern Star, and 2007 Worthy Matron of the year, Anna Decker, along with all Eastern Star members who worked hard all year, to be able to present RAVEN with a check in the amount of $494.00. Their charitable donation will help keep families healthy and together.

Core Training for Resource Families:

Day Classes: Fri. the 4^th, Wed. the 9^th and Fri the 11^th, from 10:00-1:00 for a total of 12 hours.

Evening and Weekend classes:  Thurs. June 19^th from 6:00-9:00 and Sat. June 21^st from 9:00-5:00 for a total of 11 hours. Classes will meet in the ACRF office, 5050 Dunbar Sr., Ste. A2 off the Palmer-Wasilla Hwy in the Brentwood Plaza. Call Betsy at 376-4678 or bwoodin@nwresource.org  as you must pre-register to attend.

Adopting through the Office of Children’s Services:

Evening Class: Thurs. June 26^th from 6:00-9:00.

Tues. May 6^th: Working with Birth Parents, noon-1:00.

Tues. May 6^th: Child Sexual Abuse/children, 6:00-7:00.

Tues. June 3^rd: Advocacy, noon-1:00.

Wed. June 25^th: Sensory Integration 6:00-7:00 PM.

Tues. July 1^st: Aggressive Behavior, noon-1:00.
